Music is food for the soul say the mystics. Join us for a soul nourishing night of farm to table music: ancient sounds that feel as fresh as rain. Native flute and silver flute hold counsel as organic soundscape streams flow with the living heart of drum.
Our intention is the music opens a space for us to share our humanness and our longing for deeper connection to heart and each other. With plenty of laughs along the way.
Greg Lathrop– native flutes- conscious dying guide and teacher and helper to connect folks to spirit
Joe Roberts– drum- long-time circle spirit drummer, drum-maker, stone artist and heartful gardener.
Scott Sheerin– silver flutes/keys- traditional healer
We live in a world of cycles. Daily ones like sunrise and sunset. The seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Summer Solstice marks the time when “ the sun stands still “. It’s steady ascendance pauses and lingers, shining brightly before changing direction. It is the zenith of the slow, deep movement governing lifecycles and activity on our earth. Acknowledging and honoring it’s presence and mystery is a way of connecting and building relationship with the Divine presence in our world. Celebrating the dance of darkness and light.
Join us for an evening of music and natural beauty at the Sacred Fire Council House on Solstice Eve June 21 at 7pm.
Musicians Scott Sheerin – winds/keys, Greg Lathrop – Native flutes/vox, Joe Roberts – drum/rattle/vox, will lead an experiential gathering sharing music and stories in circle by the fire as the sun sets on the longest daylight of our year.
This is a drug and alcohol free event. Kids are welcome. 7pm-9:30pm. Suggested donation – $15.
