Talking with Trees at the Raga Room 7/29

Several years ago Myra Melford and I improvised a meditative album called Sanctuary at Echo Mountain here in Asheville. I am so happy she will be visiting us again and playing music with Chris and I. More than likely a one-time only happening. The piece that is playing on this page is Myra and I on an older record of mine called Flow. This 7-beat track is called The Talking Stream.

Here are Aditi’s details re driving and parking:

Directions and parking info to The Raga Room @ 162 Old Lakey Gap Road, Black Mountain.
~20 minutes from downtown Asheville.
Coming from Asheville, take I-40 East to Exit 64, Black Mountain. Take
a right off the exit. Follow highway 9, pass Ingles and follow the
curve in the road. Make your first right onto Dogwood Lane. You will
get to a stop sign at the top of the hill. Make a left at the stop
sign onto Old Lakey Gap Road. You will almost immediately come to a
four way stop sign. Our house is on the left on the corner at the stop
sign, with a fenced in yard in front.
PARKING:
1) Please carpool as space is limited2) If you are early, please pull in the driveway.3) If there is no room in the driveway, you can park on Lynch Cove road or Old Lakey Gap Road above our driveway between our home and the start of the neighbors driveway but please do not park past that.  Please be mindful not to park on the neighbors yard. When there is a row of cars all the way down Lynch Cove Road, elder neighbors have had a difficult time navigating.
